Surely some mistake

These two police detectives are talking about a suspect…

“You still don’t think it’s him?”

“I didn’t say that”

“You don’t want to be overly sure?”

“I want to be sure when I am sure”

There’s a difference between being sure and feeling sure. One is the result of the other and it’s very easy to confuse them because they are in fact identical.
