From the immortal Seth. A whole post of his, I’m not sure if this is breaking the law of the internet, but here it is, re-written as it should be, from a systems thinking perspective.
“Command & Control managers work to get their employees to do what they did yesterday, telling them they want it a little faster and a little cheaper.
Systems thinking leaders, on the other hand, know where they’d like to go, but understand that they can’t get there without their tribe, without giving those they lead the thinking and the tools to make the right thing happen.
Command and control managers want authority.
Systems Thinking Leaders take responsibility.Pick one. We can’t afford both.”
Keep Systems Thinking, and have a lovely day!
